USDA Rural Development Demo

This demo illustrates how USDA Rural Development expresses program guidance as geospatial layers for loan and grant eligibility. Each program defines "non-rural" -- often through population thresholds -- and those definitions become map boundaries. Locations that fall inside a program's non-rural boundary are treated as ineligible. The map provides a way to quickly determine if a location is or is not eligible for specific USDA Rural Development programs.
